Information Session for National Partners on Gender, Disability, and the Core Values of the UN.

On 24 January 2025, the UN Agencies in Turkmenistan, under the coordination of the UN Resident Coordinator's Office, hosted an important information session for national partners. The event brought together representatives from more than 35 state entities, key partners of the UN, to strengthen collaboration on critical areas such as gender equality, disability inclusion, and learn about the UN standards on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA).

UNDP specialists also participated in the event, where they presented the UN's internal policies and standards on PSEA, including the Code of Conduct to uphold high ethical standards for all UN personnel, as well as the UN Rules for cooperation with Implementing Partners to Prevent Sexual Exploitation and Abuse.

 

The event provided a platform to:

 

  • Raise awareness and foster accountability;
  • Prevent sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (SEAH) & maintain ethical standards;
  • Advance gender equality and disability inclusion;
  • Promote core values of the UN;
  • Raise awareness on standards of cooperation with Implementing Partners

 

This collaborative session highlights the commitment of the UN and its national partners in Turkmenistan to uphold shared UN values and achieve sustainable development through effective cooperation.
